The Hollywood Brown Derby has been the place to be and be seen in Hollywood from
the silent era through the golden age of movie-making. The name, Brown Derby, is
synonymous with Hollywood. The Hollywood Brown Derby, near the corner of
Hollywood and Vine, was the home of "The Great Wall of Fame" which held wall to
wall faces of celebrities in the form of caricatures. The earliest ones were drawn by
Vitch. One of the world's finest caricaturists, Vitch displayed an economy of line and
sharpness of perception that caught a personality in a few brush strokes. Adding to
the collection were drawings by Zel, Pancho, Lane and Bunn.
All caricatures shown are copyrighted and may not be copied or reproduced in any form without prior written consent.
